Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

EzContentPoster ("EzContentPoster," "we," "us," or "our") provides tools for creating, scheduling, and publishing content to connected Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts. This policy applies to the EzContentPoster website and application (the "Service").

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide or authorize, including:

• Account information: your email address, authentication identifiers, login session information, workspace invitations, membership roles, and records of workspace activity.
• Business settings: your business name and description, audience and service-area context, brand-voice preferences, approval mode, timezone, post intent, tone, call to action, crop preferences, and scheduling choices.
• Content: images you upload, captions and hashtags you provide or generate, post drafts, scheduled publishing jobs, and publication results or errors.
• Meta account data: the names and identifiers of connected Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts, permissions you grant, encrypted access tokens, token expiration information, and Meta post identifiers and publishing results.
• Imported social history: when you request an import, previous Instagram and Facebook Page captions, post links, timestamps, and available engagement counts such as likes and comments.
• Technical information: limited device, browser, IP address, cookie, and diagnostic log information that may be processed by our hosting and authentication providers to operate and secure the Service.
• Usage and analytics information: pages visited, referring pages or campaigns, approximate location, device and browser information, and interaction data collected through Google Analytics. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to provide this measurement.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• authenticate users and maintain accounts;
• connect the Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts you select;
• generate, save, approve, schedule, and publish your content;
• learn your requested brand style and recommend posting times;
• understand how the website and Service are used and improve their performance and usability;
• monitor publishing status, troubleshoot errors, and secure the Service;
• respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests; and
• comply with law and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell personal information or Meta Platform data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Images and AI processing

Original image uploads are stored in private storage. EzContentPoster creates a private, normalized, publish-ready copy and may create separate private Instagram and Facebook framed derivatives, including cropped or color-padded versions, at your direction. OpenAI receives the normalized image directly for visual analysis. When you publish, EzContentPoster creates a temporary signed URL so Meta can retrieve the image; that URL expires automatically but may be viewable by anyone who obtains it while it remains valid.

When you request image analysis, caption generation, brand-tone analysis, or current hashtag research, we may send OpenAI the publish-ready image and relevant context, such as your business name, brand instructions, factual image context you provide, selected tone and intent, call to action, and a limited set of imported historical captions. Current hashtag research may use OpenAI's web-search feature and save the resulting public source links and suggestions in a workspace-scoped 24-hour cache. When you create a connected series, we may also send the ordered image summaries, your private series direction, and other generated captions in that series so installments can stay coordinated without repeating one another. Structured visual analyses and generated caption candidates are saved with your post so the image does not need to be re-analyzed for every caption request.

5. When we disclose information

We disclose information only as needed to:

• operate the Service through providers such as Supabase for database, storage, and authentication services and Vercel for application hosting;
• measure website and application usage through Google Analytics;
• provide AI features through OpenAI;
• connect to and publish through Meta's Facebook and Instagram services at your direction;
• comply with legal process, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud or abuse, or investigate security incidents; or
• complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of all or part of the Service, subject to appropriate protections.

These providers may process information in the United States or other countries under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Content, settings, connected-account information, imported history, schedules, publishing results, and activity records in a business workspace are visible to other authorized members of that workspace. Workspace owners and administrators control invitations and roles. Do not add a person unless they are authorized to access that business's data and connected social accounts.

6. Meta permissions and publishing control

EzContentPoster uses only the Meta permissions needed to identify the Pages and Instagram professional accounts you choose, read authorized account or post information, and publish content you approve or configure for automatic publishing. You may revoke EzContentPoster's Meta access through your Facebook settings. Revoking access prevents future Meta API access but does not automatically delete information already stored by EzContentPoster.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain account information, connected-account records, content, and job history while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the Service, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. We may retain limited records when required by law or necessary to prevent fraud or abuse.

You may request deletion by following our Data Deletion Instructions. After we verify a request, we will begin deletion promptly and ordinarily complete removal from active systems within 30 days. Residual copies may remain in protected backups for a limited period until those backups are overwritten. Content already published to Facebook or Instagram remains subject to Meta's systems and must also be managed through the applicable Meta account.

Removing an individual member does not delete a shared business workspace or content created for it. A workspace deletion request must come from a person authorized to act for the business, and we may verify that authority before removing shared records.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. Meta tokens are encrypted before storage, privileged credentials remain server-side, and business data is scoped to authorized workspace members with role-based controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. To make a request, email us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the relevant account. You may also disconnect Meta access through Facebook and manage published posts directly on Facebook or Instagram.

You can limit analytics cookies through your browser settings or compatible blocking tools. Limiting these technologies may reduce the information available to us about how the Service is used.

10. Children

The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when reasonably practical.
